THE ONLY WORKOUTS THAT WILL NOT BULK YOU UP

THE ONLY WORKOUTS THAT WON'T BULK YOU UP.

In my previous posts, I have been talking about workouts that won't bulk you up and in particular, I talked about POWER WALKING.

Walking is such a great workout to slim down your thighs and get an amazing lean and long look. But there's a catch walking does not for toning up. What does then?

Resistance Training does. A lot maybe don't know what resistance training is. This is a form of workout that focuses on toning up muscles without bulking them up. It is almost similar to cardio, the only difference is that resistance training is a form of LISS and Cardio is more of HIIT. If you don't understand how HIIT and LISS work is sure to check out that post. Here

Examples of resistance training workouts are the kind of workouts models do. All the workouts on my YouTube are Resistance workouts too. They are also called bodyweight training. Things like leg raise, butt kicks, leg circles, and so on. They try to focus more on toning up the leg muscles.

For this reason, I try to avoid workouts like squats and lunges and burpees as these kinds of workouts stress the leg muscles too much and end up bulking them. The resistance training workouts may seem so simple to do but they are actually the hardest to do. I mean doing leg circles seems and even sounds so simple but wait until you try it!!

The best thing about resistance training too is that it helps you not only tone up your legs but tone your abs and arms too. As with many other workouts even HIIT, it is so hard to spot and reduce fat in one area, so you want to take advantage of that and reduce fat even in all other stubborn areas.

That's it for now, So Long.

WORKOUTS THAT CAN BULK UP

I must start by saying that there is no workout that can be regarded as a 'bad' workout and you should avoid it because it will bulk you up. It all depends on how much you keep doing it and what muscles are mostly used. In today's blog post, let's talk about the kind of workouts that when overdone are likely to add muscle. Squats Lunges High Knees Traditional HIIT(that which includes loads of jumping) Running up a hill Using the elliptical and stair master Lifting heavy weights Jumping rope To know exactly how they add bulk please read this post  here A lot of the above workouts focus so much on the quads and hamstrings. They will probably overwork these muscles leading them to grow bigger. Maybe too much than your liking.  The key here is not to avoid them but to do them in moderation. If you do a squat as a warmup. Then that is probably not a big problem. If you do HIIT twice a week, that is also acceptable. Want to know which workouts will not bulk you up. Click Here
