THE TRUTH ABOUT BELLY FAT

 THE TRUTH ABOUT BELLY FAT.

Belly fat is one of the hardest things to lose especially in men more than in women. This is because tend to store excess fat in their belly section and women tend to store excess fat in their thighs and butt.

It's so funny because even slim people(ectomorphs) will have belly fat in form of a pooch. And I can tell from my personal experience that is the most annoying thing to have and it just doesn't seem to go away.

Several trainers have come up with workouts that try to reduce that but most of them won't work 100% and I'll tell you why. It is not possible to spot reduce fat. You cannot reduce fat from one area of your body. It just doesn't work. So what's the trick.

Having a diet that is calorie deficit. I talked about this in my video on YouTube only proven way to reduce belly fat is eating less than what your body needs. Most men would need 2000 calories a day while most women would need 1500 a day on average.

Here's what you want to do.

For men, try cut the calorie intake by 300, so men will end up with 1700 and women by the same 300 to end up with 1200 a day. Am not saying, starve yourself that is completely wrong. But, limit your portion sizes and take time to learn about the amount of calories in most foods(I'll talk about that later).

What happens when you do that is that your body turns to the stored fat to substitute for the deficit and that way you start to shred some belly fat.

That is for losing the fat, now for the abs and toning up that's where now you can do your push ups, sit ups, your v'ups and all those ab workouts to tone up and expose your abs more.

Do remember that everyone has abs its just that they are hidden under a layer of fat, that you have to lose first.

Hope this post was insightful.

WORKOUTS THAT CAN BULK UP

I must start by saying that there is no workout that can be regarded as a 'bad' workout and you should avoid it because it will bulk you up. It all depends on how much you keep doing it and what muscles are mostly used. In today's blog post, let's talk about the kind of workouts that when overdone are likely to add muscle. Squats Lunges High Knees Traditional HIIT(that which includes loads of jumping) Running up a hill Using the elliptical and stair master Lifting heavy weights Jumping rope To know exactly how they add bulk please read this post  here A lot of the above workouts focus so much on the quads and hamstrings. They will probably overwork these muscles leading them to grow bigger. Maybe too much than your liking.  The key here is not to avoid them but to do them in moderation. If you do a squat as a warmup. Then that is probably not a big problem. If you do HIIT twice a week, that is also acceptable. Want to know which workouts will not bulk you up. Click Here
