To me, anyone who wants to slim down most probably has been in some workout routine that made the thighs look bigger or not change at all.
This is very common among us. Most often we get into a workout so we lose some weight especially fat. After a few workout sessions and everything else done right(including diet) we do lose the fat but continuing with working out we stress the muscles more and they grow. When a muscle is overworked it grows. That is where we notice our legs are getting bigger.
Today I wanted to share some tips on what to do if on this stage.
- The first tip is always to Stop doing the workouts which you thought might have bulked you up.
A lot of the programs out there have a lot of "hard workouts". These are workouts that overuse our leg muscles making muscles grow in them hence looking bigger.
Popular workouts include lunges, squats, cycling, high knees, running up a hill, and such. Some forms of dancing workouts also tend to incorporate these workouts and for that reason, I try to be very careful with a lot of dancing workouts.
Stopping such workouts will help the muscle to stop growing in the legs further.
- The second tip is to always switch to low Impact kinds of workouts.
Low impact kind of workouts as my community likes to call them are Pilates styled workouts. They focus more on stretching muscles rather than overusing one part of it. Examples include leg raises, leg circles, and sliders.
- The Third and last tip about working out is cardio.
