HOW MY SLIMMING DOWN JOURNEY IS GETTING ALONG; WITH PICS

I really wanted to put this part together to show you all how I am doing. Of course, this post is going to be updated regularly when I notice new results.

First of all, this is where I am at as of July 2021. Left is in mid-2020 and right is July 2021

Let's now see where it all started,

I worked out a lot in 2018. Doing all the wrong types of workouts, disregarding diet, and not knowing a lot about bulking legs. Then my goal was to lose weight overall. Read my bulking up story Here

See my 2018 Snapchat(just before I got into working out),

Working out through 2018, 2019, and early 2020 my upper body got pretty toned but my legs didn't. As a matter of fact, they got bigger. I was so disappointed and frustrated I stopped working out.

See my ab area in March 2020,
And my lower body area around the same time,
Around Mid year 2020, I learned about lean legs and that women can get bulky, and that my legs were bulky! I had mixed emotions, I was so excited, and I was confused.

I tried different workout routines, programs, and plans to try slim them down but those two didn't work. Most workout programs were traditional style based; lots of squats, lots of lunges, no cardio a wrong diet plan. All that made my legs stick to the same position as they were before.

See my thigh area around August 2020,
Later at the end of the year 2020, after doing tons of research about leaning legs. I started focusing more on Rachael Attard's version of slimming down; doing cardio, right resistance training, and the right diet. I made a simple 4-week workout program to follow myself and once I started to see my results. I was super excited.

See my progress after 5 weeks doing the Getting Toned and Lean Program,

I am still not where I want to be, but nonetheless, I am extremely happy and proud of my progress. It sure is hard work, lots of sacrifices, and utmost of them all, it is a completely new lifestyle.

I will be updating this as time goes by.

WORKOUTS THAT CAN BULK UP

I must start by saying that there is no workout that can be regarded as a 'bad' workout and you should avoid it because it will bulk you up. It all depends on how much you keep doing it and what muscles are mostly used. In today's blog post, let's talk about the kind of workouts that when overdone are likely to add muscle. Squats Lunges High Knees Traditional HIIT(that which includes loads of jumping) Running up a hill Using the elliptical and stair master Lifting heavy weights Jumping rope To know exactly how they add bulk please read this post  here A lot of the above workouts focus so much on the quads and hamstrings. They will probably overwork these muscles leading them to grow bigger. Maybe too much than your liking.  The key here is not to avoid them but to do them in moderation. If you do a squat as a warmup. Then that is probably not a big problem. If you do HIIT twice a week, that is also acceptable. Want to know which workouts will not bulk you up. Click Here
