  Calves are some of the most common trouble spots among women. It is that part that is behind the leg just below the knee. Sadly, if we overwork the muscles there this muscle will grow too big for our liking. To some of us, this is usually not our end goal when we start to work out to slim down our thighs. The most common reason why your calves might grow bigger is because of overworking out. Some workouts in particular overuse the calf muscles and make them bigger.  Some of these workouts are; Jumping Rope. Running too much especially when you use the toes in running. Cycling. Elevated walks. Stairs training. I am not against such workouts, it is just because a lot of us are looking to slim down our legs without building extra muscle. HOW MY SLIMMING DOWN JOURNEY IS GETTING ALONG; WITH PICS

  I really wanted to put this part together to show you all how I am doing. Of course, this post is going to be updated regularly when I notice new results. First of all, this is where I am at as of July 2021. Left is in mid-2020 and right is July 2021 Let's now see where it all started,  I worked out a lot in 2018. Doing all the wrong types of workouts, disregarding diet, and not knowing a lot about bulking legs. Then my goal was to lose weight overall. As a matter of fact, they got bigger. I was so disappointed and frustrated I stopped working out. SADDLEBAGS , HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM

  Saddlebags are the casual name given to the fat that accumulates on the outer thighs just below the butt. It is one of the most common 'trouble spots', especially for women. I too really struggle with saddlebags. Most women do store extra fat in their thighs and butt compared to men who store most of their extra fat in their belly area. Saddlebags are therefore more common among women. Okay seriously, it's weird to see a guy with saddlebags! Saddlebags can be caused by several factors, Hormones - during a woman's reproductive years the body releases estrogen. This hormone usually triggers the accumulation of fat during pregnancy and since women have larger pelvises, some fat gets stored in that area. Been Inactive- when you are inactive, sitting all day, underusing those butt muscles; fat stored in the butt area tends to fall out to the sides. Sometimes this leads to saddlebags.   Recently I left a little quiz on my YouTube Channel about what burns fat more efficiently. Is it running or power walking?  The right answer is walking; Power Walking.  Here's the thing, the body creates energy in two ways; with oxygen(Aerobic) and without oxygen(Anaerobic). Hold on tight we are getting there. Now depending on the type of workout, one is doing the body will choose to either use fat or carbs for energy. Fat is usually what is stored. For most women, it is stored in the thighs and booty while for most men it is stored in the belly area. Carbs are usually what is available in the body at the moment. I have talked endlessly about body types and why it is so important that you figure out yours before getting into a workout routine.  The reason for this is because 2 out of the 3 body types are most likely to bulk up. HOW I LEARNT ABOUT LEAN LEGS (BACK STORY)

  I love to express my thoughts in any way I find convenient at the time. (well that is a weird way to start lol) My story with learning about lean legs and slimming down your legs started in  January 2020 after realizing I had bulked up and that was why my legs could not get smaller after all the workouts I did. If you have not read about my bulking up story read that first  here . Since it was something very close to my heart and something that really bothered me. I set up to know everything I could about bulking up and why my legs kept getting bigger.
